The Agile Technical Architect's Playbooks
Back when I started at my previous job, I moved from being a Senior Developer to a Technical Architect. At the time I found the transition interesting enough that I thought it would be worth cataloguing some of the tools and techniques I used more in that role than in previous ones. That work became The Agile Technical Architect's Playbooks.
I had some grand aspirations of it being comprehensive enough that it could be a resource for other people moving into Technical Architecture (or whatever you call architecture in your company, it's not consistent whatever the LinkedIn slop diagrams might say). For reasons that weren't clear I put it on its own GitHub Pages site, rather than here, maybe in the hope of some more folks contributing. That never happened and so it seemed sensible to move them over here.
Hopefully they make interesting reading, maybe as a snapshot of my thinking over the last few years on the more socio-technical aspects of organisaitng software or websites being built. I felt that The Wise Sage on the Mountain summarised one of the key aspects of being a Software Architect in an organisation.
You can find them all under the TA Playbooks tag.
